A young autodidact artist with a curious mind. New to the art scene (well kind of) but with a creative background and design experience in the fashion industry. I work with pre-owned and surplus textiles/clothing as a medium for storytelling. Deconstructing, ripping, and tearing apart textiles into fragments to create abstract expressive collages and sculptures. The Arte Povera movement has been an inspirational time period and the basis of working methodically with my ideas.

I’m interested in why we connect ourselves with garments and material objects, where and at what point in the whole lifecycle it loses value to us. This leads to the second thought more importantly how we consume clothing, our mindset, and ingrained habits and behavior. Lastly, there is a constant longing in me to sustain contemporary and to question our state of thoughts. Our future is at stake, our Mother Earth is at matter and surely I can evoke those sentiments and beliefs through my works.

A wise man once said: ”One man’s trash is another man’s treasure” which is hopefully the quote for eternity.
