[ RECIRCULATION ] “My idea was to rethink how we showcase art at home. I chose to focus on the bookcase and to rework it in a new context. The bookcase is generally used as a display window/storage for books or small objects, so we can proudly display them. With that in mind, I have used the back board of the bookcase as a canvas and the shelves as a frame for my creation. At the same time, it can retain its function for both storage and decoration. I have hand-painted the bookcases from the ‘Rodebutik’ and the return section in IKEA Gentofte, Denmark. The works consist of my own discarded clothing and used textiles from my home”
